This strikingly gorgeous blonde was born on August 30, 1972 in San Diego. When Cameron was just 16 years old, she left her Cuban-American father, Emilio, and Anglo-German mother, Billie, to tour the world as a model. Standing 5'9" and already a beautiful young woman, Cameron spent the next five years living in such locations as Japan, Australia, Mexico, Morocco and Paris. She was featured in magazines such as Seventeen and Mademoiselle, while appearing in ads for Calvin Klein, Levi's and Coca-Cola.
When she returned to California at age 21, Cameron was still working as a model for the Elite Modeling Agency, but decided to audition for a role in The Mask in 1994. To her shock and enjoyment - and despite possessing no previous acting experience - Cameron landed the lead female role opposite Jim Carrey. Over the next three years, Cameron starred in low budget movies and honed her acting abilities until landing another role in the big budget movie with Julia Roberts, My Best Friend's Wedding. In 1998, Cameron landed her most well-known and popular role in the comedy hit, There's Something About Mary, for which she took home the MTV Movie Award for Best Comedic Performance by an Actress.
In 2003, less than ten years after making her acting debut, Cameron joined her former co-star, Roberts, as the only actresses to earn $20 million for a role. Previously named one of People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the world, Cameron was also named one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in all of film history by Empire Magazine.
